BB BIOTECH (BBB) is one of the world’s largest biotech investment companies. From a valuation point of view, it makes sense to invest via BB Biotech: 1) the current NAV of BBB assets (listed companies) is roughly 25% below its marke value, and 2), the market value (stock price) of BBB’s holdings is on average more than 30% below its fair value according to our calculations. We would see EUR 60 as a first share price target. BUY.

BB BIOTECH VENTURES: Successful exit from largest portfolio investment
Sanofi‐aventis has signed a definitive agreement to acquire TargeGen, Inc., a private company in the portfolio of BB BIOTECH VENTURES II since 2005. The transaction volume amounts to a maximum of USD 560 mn. TargeGen was the largest position held in the portfolio. This exit is yet another confirmation of the successful portfolio strategy pursued by Bellevue Asset Management's private equity vehicle.
